When a guest from a new nation arrives at Bomanoma, we hang their home country's flag in one of our gazebos. To date, 63 flags already flutter, telling stories and adventures of travelers like you.

Will your nation's colors be the next to dance in the Bomanoma breeze?

Accommodations

All accommodations have solar electricity and high-speed WiFi. Accommodations were constructed using the ancient method of natural cob building, which is more environmentally sustainable and keeps the inside temperature cooler during the day and warmer at night. Our accommodations are clean, comfortable, and authentically African. Your stay at Bomanoma includes access to all of our unique and popular amenities!

Private Cottages

Indulge in a truly magical escape with our charming cottages, perfectly suited for a romantic couple seeking intimacy or a single person in search of tranquil seclusion. Nestled in nature's embrace, these cottages are the most popular option. Bomanoma boasts three private cottages, named after the distinct and different colors of their floors - Manjano (yellow) Cottage, Samawati (blue) Cottage, and Kijani (green) Cottage. Maximum of two people per cottage. Includes one 5’ x 6’ bed. Click here for pictures of the Private Cottages.

Honeymoon Tower Suite

Experience true serenity and romance in our exclusive Honeymoon Suite, which sits high above Bomanoma in our iconic tower. By far the most secluded option, it is best for a romantic night with your partner or a peaceful night of solitude without the distractions of the world below. Our most intimate room, designed for those seeking a private escape like no other, includes exclusive access to the scenic viewpoint located right above the Honeymoon Suite. Maximum of two people. Includes one 4.5’ x 6’ bed. Click here for pictures of the Honeymoon Tower Suite.

Family House

Discover the perfect retreat for your family or group of friends - a charming home that offers the ultimate blend of comfort and togetherness. This home has three rooms - a shared living room and two bedrooms on either side. Maximum number of occupants is five people. One bedroom features a 4’ x 6’ bed while the other boasts a 6’ x 6’ bed. Dormitory

The most budget-friendly option is our hostel-style dormitory, where you share a larger space with other travelers from around the world. With three double-decker bunk beds (six single beds) inside the dormitory, there is never a dull moment! Click here for pictures of the Dormitory.

Camping

Spacious and serene: our ample camping grounds offers ample space for both seasoned campers with their own gear and those seeking the convenience of renting one of our top-quality tents. Set up camp amidst nature's splendor, a warm bonfire, and feel the stress of everyday life melt away. Far enough enough away from the crowd, but close enough to access all of Bomanoma’s amenities. Please Note

Bomanoma does not have running water. Bathrooms are pit latrine style, and showers are bucket showers with cold or hot water. Bomanoma has two womens bathrooms, two womens showers, two mens bathrooms, two mens showers, two unisex bathrooms, and one unisex shower. There is one modern toilet seat situated above the latrine pit for clients who are uncomfortable squatting.

The average American uses 3,280% MORE water everyday than the average Kenyan; 82 gallons per person per day in the United States versus 2.5 gallons in Kenya (sources: epa.gov; waterfund.go.ke). Located in a drought-prone semi-arid region where water is scarce, Bomanoma uses pit latrine style bathrooms and bucket showers to reduce our water footprint. As a proud off-grid eco-lodge, we strive to be as sustainable as possible, which includes limiting our water usage, especially when the closest reliable water source is miles away.

Please Note

We have five big, friendly dogs. We also have 14 (also friendly) bee hives on the property. If you are uncomfortable around dogs or bees, please reconsider your visit.
